**** At first, technician was unable to duplicate customer concern due to vehicle not being cold. Did find serpentine belt worn and a prior recommendation to replace serpentine belt, serpentine belt tensioner, and idler pulley. Suspect this may be causing concern. Recommend replacing serpentine belt, tensioner, and idler pulley in near future. **** After vehicle sat in shop, did hear a rattling noise on start up coming from the exhaust heat shield on the rear exhaust pipe being loose and rattling against exhaust. Re secured exhaust heat shield and rattling noise technician heard has been eliminated.

**** Advised customer that left front brake pads are worn very low on material at 2/32" causing brake squealer to contact rotor when turning slightly. Found right front brake pads worn low on material at 4/32" of material. Found left front brake pads seized in brackets causing slight uneven brake pad wear. Recommend replacing front brake pads and machining front brake rotors.

**** Advised customer that cap that bolts valve stem into tire pressure sensor are all heavily corroded/with oxidation (on all tires). Advised customer that tire pressure sensors will most likely break if technician tries to remove valve stem portions of tire pressure sensors to replace o rings and schrader valves. Customer requested regular valve stems be installed if tire pressure sensors break. Advised customer that all tire pressure sensors broke during repair. Installed standard valve stems in all tires. Advised customer that tire pressure light will always be on. Recommend manually checking tire pressure frequently. **** During repair, lug nut on passenger rear broke. Replaced lug nut.
**** Reminded customer of front brake concern. **** Found front crankshaft oil seal leaking oil.

**** No exhaust leaks found at this time. Connected scanner and retrieved the following trouble code(s): P2423 – Hydrocarbons Adsorption Catalytic Bank 1. Suspect rear catalytic converter is defective. See attached estimate.
**** Suspect bad decoupler on alternator causing concern, not letting alternator charge. Alternator appears new. Recommend replacing alternator.
**** Vehicle failed emissions inspection due to check engine light being on and code P2423 stored in control module. See attached failure report. We allow 30 days for one free re inspection. Stickers expire 02/2021.
