About Jeffcoats Automotive

Jeffcoats Automotive has been offering complete auto service to the Landenberg, PA community since 2004. We love what we do, and that basic fact fuels our business. We are dedicated to our customers, and that’s why they stick with us—the best auto repair around.

We take daily appointments. You can either leave the vehicle with us for the day or, if you need to wait with your vehicle, you can take advantage of our comfortable waiting area.

Drop off your vehicle the night before your appointment using our night drop box located just outside the main entrance. Envelopes are provided inside the night dropbox. We ask that you fill this out as best as you can, put your keys, and any documents needed for your appointment the next day inside, seal it up, and drop it safely inside the key drop located on the main entrance.

Jeffcoats Automotive is completely secure with a security system that is monitored 24/7 by an independent security company. We also have a video surveillance system installed to help make sure your vehicle is completely safe while in our parking lot.

Suspect suspension component is bent causing concern. No visual bends noted in passenger front suspension/steering components. Suspect possible passenger front strut slightly bent. Would recommend replacing passenger front strut and performing another alignment as a starting point to see if this corrects alignment. If not, other components in passenger front would need to be replaced.

Suspected defective passenger front brake caliper initially, but after replacing loaded passenger front brake caliper and hose (under full warranty) concern was still present. Suspect this is related to defective left front brake caliper. **** Found that steering wheel is off center to the left, indicating alignment is out of specification, which could cause vehicle to pull to the right. Recommend performing alignment.
  • **** Found wheel hitting under car cover. Re positioned cover away from wheel.

  • Removed all four tires and inspected brake pad condition. Inspected brake calipers. Inspected brake hoses. Inspected master cylinder and all other brake system components. **** Confirmed brake pedal intermittently being spongy when braking on test drive. Suspect left front brake caliper is internally defective. Recommend replacing left front loaded brake caliper, caliper hose, and resurfacing left front brake rotor.

Did find serpentine belt worn and a prior recommendation to replace serpentine belt, serpentine belt tensioner, and idler pulley. Suspect this may be causing concern. Recommend replacing serpentine belt, tensioner, and idler pulley in near future. **** After vehicle sat in shop, did hear a rattling noise on start up coming from the exhaust heat shield on the rear exhaust pipe being loose and rattling against exhaust. Re secured exhaust heat shield and rattling noise technician heard has been eliminated.
