    • *** Talking with customer, who also states that the vehicle wold not start at times, and he wiggled the battery cables and it started, checked both battery cable ends, and found that the positive cable end was painted between the end and the battery post. Also found that the cable clamp is loose causing sparking and overheating between the cables, and the end clamp. Replaced the positive battery cable end, and installed new eyelits on the two cables. Now everything is working properly, except the left rear sliding door, which is the door lock actuator bad, and the rear hatch will not open or close electrically. do have codes for a shorted motor unit, and suspect that is the cause of the door isse.

    • *** Advised that timing chain cover is seeping on back side. Not a severe leak at this time.
    • *** Advised that there is no sensors in wheels on this vehicle. No codes in abs module at this time. Reset TPMS system test drove while monitoring live data abs sensors, and all are reading correctly. Suspect other facility rotated tires and did not reset tpms light correctly.
    • *** Check engine light and Trac light is on, Codes:P0442 – Evaporative Emissions small leak detected. Smoke tested system while blocking off both vent and purges solenoids and system recorded no leaks. Suspect that the vent control solenoid is not closing completely but recommend clearing code, and if light comes back on then will need to gain access to solenoid and test.
